nffr_party | The Substance of Things Hoped For, Prologue to Ch. 2

I'm being brave and posting this fic here, becuase I would really love feedback from the Narnia side of the LJ world on this story, even though I'm terrified of the feedback at the same time. (Yes, terrified. All of you are amazing writers, and therefore an increidbly intimidating bunch!) A few things you need to know:

This is a Narnia/Glee crossover. It's madness.
The fact that it exists at all is entirely autumnia's fault.rthstewart is an accomplice.
My Susan is indebted in many ways to the Susan of rthstewart, though she is not the same Susan. See also the Susan of autumnia's Last Battle AU and her Narnia/Buffy crossover.
This is my latest, most complex, and slowest-developing Narnia story. Between the nervousness and my own perfectionism, not to mention a current RL schedule that makes sleep almost impossible, I haven't been able to update it very quickly.

All of that said, if any of you feel inclined to tackle the first three parts of it and add commentary, I would be so grateful. I've gotten some wonderful comments from

h_dash_h and some of the Glee people here on LJ, (who, as it turns out, are also avid Narnia readers). It helps, more than I can say. I have a huge outline and story arc for this, and writing Susan is more than a little difficult for me, so any suggestions would be greeted with delight.
