LJ Tips - Tracking
Sep. 11th, 2012 07:43 pmHey neffers! Not to interupt the fandom-y goodness, but since LJ isn't necessarily the best format for ongoing conversations, and we do have a bunch of folks new-ish to LJ, I just wanted to point out one tool that makes keeping up with LJ discussions easier after they've fallen off the front page of your friends list.
You can track entire posts (for instance, the awesome Susan-meta discussion!) or just one comment thread (perhaps someone left a cool prompt on the fic meme and you want to know when it's filled?). There are several options for notification; email or LJ private message are the most commonly chosen.
If you're viewing in this comm's default style, just click the "Track This" link at the bottom of the entry -- or for a comment thread, the top-most comment you're interested in. If you're viewing in another style, you may have a button that looks like a pushpin instead.
Any other tips to make following LJ discussions easier? Please share in comments!
