Hey, y'all!

NFFR is hosting a holiday Secret Santa fanwork exchange!

Welcome to the NFFR Secret Santa Fanwork Exchange! To celebrate the upcoming holiday season, we will be hosting an exchange based on what brings us all together - Narnia and fanworks!

When you sign up to participate in the exchange, we will anonymously pair you with another participant - that is, you will know whom you are creating fanwork for, but they will not be aware of your identity until the final reveal in January. In the spirit of the Secret Santa, it is important that you not reveal yourself to the person who will be receiving a gift from you until the official reveal date.

This is a fanwork exchange - you may create any sort of work for your recipient, be it a fan fiction, an artwork, a fan video, or any other creative medium. Your work must be in an electronic form to be sent to the recipient. NFFR will not ask members for a mailing address to send physical artwork to. We ask that everyone who signs up be prepared to create one full fanwork for their recipient, so that everyone receives something; if you are so inclined, you are welcome to create more than one item for your recipient. Please try to follow your recipient’s requests as closely as you can. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the mods immediately. We are happy to check with your recipient in case you have a concern with your idea and to then give you their response.

Please remember that someone is creating a gift for you,so in the spirit of the holiday, please try to complete your request for your recipient. We know that December is a busy time for everyone, but even the smallest one-shot is appreciated when given in the spirit of the season! If you cannot, for any reason, complete the request you are sent, please let a mod know as soon as possible. We’d appreciate the maximum amount of time we can get to complete drop-out requests and to assign a pinch-hit Santa so that everyone who makes something, receives something.

Rules:
1. All gifts must be in electronic form and submitted anonymously. We will host any fanvideos on NFFR’s youtube account, and post any pictures or fics on the NFFR livejournal. At the culmination of the exchange links to all the works will be posted on NFFR for ease of access.

2. Fan fictions should, in general, be from 1000-5000 words in length, but if you wish to create a fic that is longer, just let the mods know and we will be accommodating. Fan vids ought to be a minimum of 1 minute in length. Again, these are guidelines so as to ensure that each participant receives a wonderful gift. Overall, quality and care are the important factors here - give your recipient the sort of work which you would like to receive.

3. After the reveal, all creators are welcome to post their works on their private ff.net, youtube, tumblr, livejounal, you-name-it.

4. All submissions are due on December 27, 2010 to a mod. If you require an extension, please speak to a mod.

5. In general, fanworks should be rated no higher than a K+ (PG) rating. If you have a particular idea in mind that does not fit this rating, you must email a mod for permission. If you are comfortable with receiving higher-rated fanworks, you may indicate so in your sign-up form, which will be passed along to your Secret Santa.

6. Please try your best to keep your recipient a secret - you will know who they are, so it will not be difficult to do so. An integral part of the fun of this sort of exchange is the excitement over waiting to find out who has made you your gift, and it would be unfortunate for this to be diminished. Use your discretion, and above all, have fun!

7. If you love another fandom, too, feel free to ask for a crossover! Since this is a Narnia fansite, we will ask that whatever is created does have something to do with Narnia, but you are welcome to mention other fandoms. If your Santa so chooses, you may end up with a crossover! Please specify any fandom preferences in the "What I Want" category.
