Challenge Amnesty
Dec. 28th, 2012 11:32 amHello Narnia fans! Sorry this is so late in the week, but LJ has been... let's just say 'uncooperative' for the sake of avoiding un-family-friendly language.
This week's "challenge" is an amnesty. That means you can post on any of the past challenges. So if you started one but didn't finish, forgot to post, had an idea that got sacrificed to Real Life, or just forgot about a challenge, now's the time to pick it up again, brush it off, and post it here! And since this is coming so late, and it's still the holiday season with the visiting and what-not that entails, we'll stretch this for more than a week. You have until Jan 7th to post your fills.
To jog your memory, here are the past challenges:
Challenge 1: birth
Challenge 2: invisibility
Challenge 3: never born
Challenge 4: natural disaster
Challenge 5: image prompt
Challenge 6: parents
Challenge 7: autumn
Challenge 7.5: Marshwiggles
Challenge 8: treasure hunting
Challenge 9: merchants
Challenge 10: Telmarines
On the 7th I'll do a round-up of all the fills, and then we'll go back to regular challenges.

Date: 2012-12-28 08:55 pm (UTC)When I didn't, it was usually, especially recently, that life was a bit busy, and the deadline raced past me. Once or twice I just didn't have an idea, or not one which I could see how to develop usefully.
For me, the deadlines work -- if there wasn't a deadline, I probably would be forever tinkering, trying to get the fill just exactly right.
I thought the prompts worked well, but maybe the form of them could be varied more -- sometimes more specific, posing particular question, maybe? Or sometimes something like a quote from something totally non-Narnian, to see how it worked in the Narnian context?
Thanks again for making it happen. :)
